we went to Musicians (sp) work shop on Merrimon. They have a list of teachers and will hook you up with a person and times and you come there and they have a room in the back and will even rent the guitars if you are not sure you want ton invest in buying one yet..

LOL I know.. That is why i love Weaverville. I t reminds me a littel of where I came from with the small town feel... Everyone kind of knows each other. But still not the same. My son is in 8th grade... is that what grade your daughter is in?

we are heading kind of that way tomorrow. we are heading to Burlington. My daughter has a tour at Elon University. we are staying over at we have an appt Monday am... I know it is tough.. Believe it or not I missed the accents of South Ga. and I grew up in a very small town so everyone knew everyone.. SO I understand what you are saying about the same people at the stores and bank etc...

yeah....we came from eastern NC, and I call it the 7 degrees town. Like the Kevin Bacon game- you could figure out a connection to anyone in the town. The little things are the hardest: missing your same pediatrician that your kids had since birth, the pharmacist, the girl at Harris Teeter, the guy at the gas station...No one prepared me for that! ;o) The big stuff has gone smoothly, and we do like it here...it is absolutely beautiful...and we shall adjust s...l...o...w...l...y. Actually, the younger 2 are having the easiest time, and I am having the worst, but...chin up and smiles abound! ;o)
