About Me:: I am in my fifth year of teaching language arts and history to fourth to eighth graders at The Learning Community School in Black Mountain. I also tutor all ages and am planning on opening a mommy cooperative coffee shop/tutoring center/children's bookstore/center for the arts in Asheville by the end of 2008.

Post-holiday malaise

I'm sitting here at home in Asheville. The sky is bright blue after a mean rain. Mean because there was no snow. I'm thinking about the post-holiday malaise. THIS is my last Christmas break. After spending my whole life so far in education, at this time next year I'll be working the day after Christmas. How do people do it? You need at least three days in between holidays to reboot and then be ready for the next one.

Tell her to click on the "Learn Infant Massage" icon on the top left, and then go to the "parent educator directory" in the first paragraph. I just checked it out, and there are quite a few instructors up there. Hopefully, she can find one close to her. And yes, I've always been a morning person, but when one has children, there's simply no choice. Often I get up at 5am just to have a little time to myself.
