I've been looking for summer activities for my 2 yr old, preferably day camps or a regular activity 1-2 days a week where I can drop him off and run errands while he's having fun. Any suggestions?
Check out the March issue of WNC Parent- it has a complete listing of the day camps in WNC. Also, I do know of Hahn's Gymnastics and Arden Seventh Day Adventist Church on the South side that both offer drop off day care.
Hi there,
You may call Ms. Gayle at Blue Ridge Montessori.
Summer Camp there is starting up on the 15th.
Her ages range from 2-1/2 - 6. But, if your child is potty trained,
she might take them as a drop in basis.

Thanks
I am not sure of programs locally, but steer toward a program that you know your kids will spend time in nature! I was reading that the Ad Council did a recent study that said our kids are spending about 50% less time outdoors than they did 20 years ago!
There are always good nature camps you just have to find a good one. I have been promoting to my friends the Forest Services "Where the Other You Lives" website which is a site that tries to get parents and kids outdoors to experience nature and use their imaginations, so a day camp that follows some of the suggestions they have on that site would only be beneficial.
I think Aloha Beach Camp's Keiki Camp program is good for your child. First summer beach day camp program just for younger children. Keiki campers get their own private beachfront campsite at beautiful Paradise Cove, Malibu where they swim and play safely in gentle surf and clean water with few other people nearby. You can try it there. spanish universities
The Forest service has started a new facet of the "Where the Other You Lives" campaign. Now they are rewarding families who have been enjoying nature with a chance to win a North Face Gift card. Check out the sweepstakes here:
